United in Pink at NBP in October October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Nathan Benderson Park is proud to honor survivors, support fighters, and remember loved ones. We have several initiatives lined up throughout the month. We encourage you to join us and participate: “Pink Fridays” (Select Fridays in October) What: If you are visiting the park or here to workout, we encourage you to wear a pink shirt or hat to show your support Dates: Friday, Oct 9 | Friday, Oct 16 | Friday, Oct 23 Friday Morning Coffee & Treats – Fridays on Oct. 9, Oct. 16 & Oct. 23, 7:00am-10:00am What: Complimentary coffee and morning treats hosted for breast cancer survivors, fighters, supporters, and family members. Spread the word! Are you a fighter/survivor? Join us and share with your friends! Location: Finish Tower (Rooftop / Ground Floor — [Location based on weather/event schedule]. Memory & Motivation Messages: Is there someone special to you who is fighting breast cancer, is a survivor, or is there someone you recently lost? NBP wants to help you celebrate or commemorate this special individual and shine a light on their battle. Submits photo of this loved one with a message and/or meaningful images or quotes. On Pink Fridays, we will share your messages of hope or memories of love on our digital boards at the park. Dragon boating helping in building strength in recovery and finding others to connect with Throughout October, please help spread the word! 50% Off Dragon Boat 101 for Breast Cancer Fighters, Survivors & Supporters in October (Only $49) Dragonboat 101 teaches the basics of dragonboating and is ongoing (3 sessions offered each week).
